Our Story: Nurturing Skin and Community with Pure, Natural Care

Hello! I'm Mikaila, a proud mum of three living in the beautiful Northern Rivers region of Australia. Together with my partner Daniel, we’ve dedicated over 20 years collectively to the health and wellness space. My journey began in nursing, where I developed a deep understanding of health and well-being, and transitioning from the medical industry to wellness felt like a natural step. Pachamama Tallow has allowed us to apply our combined knowledge to ensure our family thrives in a world increasingly filled with environmental toxins.

A Passion for Pure, Non-Toxic Living

Every day, we strive to minimise our exposure to toxins in every aspect of our lives—from the food we eat, the water we drink and the air we breathe to the products we use on our skin. It was this passion that inspired me to create our first Tallow Balm. Initially crafted for my family, word quickly spread within our community, and soon, friends, family and clients were asking for their own. What started as a small, family-run endeavour has blossomed into a mission to provide everyone with safe, natural skincare solutions.

Sourcing the Purest Tallow

At the heart of our products is 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef suet fat, sourced from the kidney region of cattle. We partner directly with a NSW butchery who works directly with local independent Australian farmers who uphold the highest welfare standards. These farmers raise their livestock free-range, ensuring that no added hormones, herd antibiotics, or intensive feedlots are involved. The cattle are processed on-farm, meaning the abattoir comes directly to the farm which eliminates the unnecessary stress associated with live transport, which in turn improves the quality of the fat.

The rendering process is gentle and meticulous. The fat is heated to a liquid state without exceeding 85°C (minimum 75°C), ensuring that all the beneficial nutrients are retained. This careful preparation guarantees that our tallow is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins A, D, E, and K, providing unparalleled nourishment for your skin.

Enhancing Bioavailability

Water is a vital component in our products, and we believe in its power to enhance the efficacy of our formulations. We utilise scalar frequency technology and structured, hydrolysed water in our rendering and production process, which increase the bioavailability of the vitamins and minerals in our products making them more readily absorbed by your skin, maximising their beneficial effects.
